Form 3 & 4 Circles ll (Fastest Way to Memorise & Keep it into your Mind)

Dear Form 3 , there will be a total of 2 Types of Circles Questions in this Chapter.
Question Type 1 : Common Sense Related
how you identify this question is, the circle diagram itself will provide you a Chord, Center Point, Radius and a Right Angle. (no fancy angles)

Steps to solve:
1. Draw a line from center point to chord (which is a Radius!)
2. You will Form a Right Angle Triangle
3. Solve your Answer using Pythagoras Theorem DONE!

Question Type 2 : Common Sense Related
how you identify this question is, the circle diagram itself will provide you a Chord, Center Point, Radius and a Right Angle. (no fancy angles)

Steps to solve:
1. Check your 7 Rules (Quadrilateral First then Center Points " in a sequence")
2. Hidden Isosceles (Form using radius)

*HOTS = High Order Thinking Skills, LOTS = Low Order Thinking Skills

KBAT = Kemahiran Berfikir Aras Tinggi, KBAR = Kemahiran Berfikir Aras Rendah

PT3 Mathematics from Liang J's Point of View
1) PMR Mathematics  : a SPOON FEEDING Paper (2 papers)
Paper 1 : OBJ (Multiple Choice Question), where it allows students to judge questions based on
                   ANSWERS "spoon-fed" by options A,B,C,D
Paper 2 : SUBJ, no thinking required, they are DIRECT questions!

2) PT3 Mathematics : an All Rounder Paper (1 paper ONLY)

Combination of HOTS & LOTS questions (Not a SPOON FEEDING Paper),
It's a FULLY Written Test! Well Done! *Wink >_<*

1) HOTS Questions (KBAT) ?
Students are used to SPOON FEEDING-Questions (aka PMR level Objective (ABCD provided) & Subjective "Direct Question") (KBAR), My Job here is to make sure students familiarize themselves to HOTS Questions. Trust me Guys, i know Maths Well =)
Lets See an Example in Sample PT3 Question:
Please try it yourself first. (Answer Provided below)

"A grocery store sold 1470 boxes of drinks last month. The number of soy drinks sold is twice the sales of the chocolate drinks and the number of orange drinks sold is twice the sales of the soy drinks.
Find number of boxes sold for Soy Drinks, Chocolate Drinks and Orange Drinks."

Tick-Tock.. Tick-Tock..

10 Questions for 2 hours (120mins), each Questions 12 mins
each Questions there are 3 breakdown, therefore per breakdown 12 mins / 3 breakdown = 4 mins per breakdown!

if you use more than 4 mins. Please call 017-381 7670 (Liang J) haha

2) LOTS Questions (KBAR) ?
Although LOTS Questions seem easy but, without ABCD options (SPOON FEEDING-based Question) students cannot recall the answers easily!
That's why we need practice, practice and practice again! So that it becomes an AUTOMATIC response to students when it comes to applying what they have learnt!

3) Do it Repeatedly, Until your skills become AUTOMATIC!
Liang J promotes Repetitive Practice, NOT BLIND REPETITIVE!
Understanding concept to solve is not THE BEST WAY TO STUDY! Practicing it repeatedly WILL be the Key to our PT3's A! Practice it until you reach the AUTOMATIC stage!

4) Learning Made Easy, Fun and HIGH SPEED with Liang J's Guidance
With Maths, it is not about BLIND repetitive practice, but more about the techniques. Maths can be as easy as pie as long as you have mastered the proper techniques. This concept brings simplicity to Maths by using techniques; inspiring the initiative of the ULTIMATE "L J STEPS" and "ONE POINT UNDERSTAND-THEORY".
(9 years experience)

5) Our Always-Aim-A Mindset
Our Ultimate Aim is to get the MAXIMUM amount of A's, so that it reduces your worries when choosing which stream to enter during Form 4.

The Ultimate Idea : Single Fraction

Relevant to
Algebraic Expression,
Linear Equation,
Simultaneous Equation,
Quadratic Equation.

The Ultimate Idea : Single Fraction
What is a Single Fraction ?! Why we convert an expression or equation into a Single Fraction?!
Benefit of converting into Single Fraction :
1) You can apply DIVIDE BRING OVER it becomes TIMES!

How if after you convert it into a single fraction?
Eventually u get,
*SINGLE FRACTION = SINGLE FRACTION
1) Cross Multiply
2) "Act Cute" Method

Feb Week 3 Form 3 : Indices "Basics" Normal Question

Indices we use 3 steps to solve
as you can see in the picture, i use 3 circles to indicate the step

*please ignore rule number 8 when u are doing Subjective (as it confuse you in solving your indices), use rule 9 (Big--> small, Small --> Big)

Tuesday, 29 January 2013

Feb Form 3 Week 1 (Chapter 3: Circle's "part 1:Common Sense" Questions)

we start our class with Chapter 1 and 2's revision
and for the last 20 mins we do,
part 1:Common Sense
why I name it as Common sense?
It's form 2 related stuff, "CHORD" related.

Step to solve
l. Draw from Center point to CHORD (refer second picture, the red colour line O to D)
2. You will form a "Right-Angled Triangle"
3. Apply "Pythagoras' Theoram"
4. solve it for the ANSWER.

26th Nov to 2th Dec update (PMR PORTION)

Pre-form 2
Finally the long awaited chapter 1 had arrived XD
The picture below indicates the important point needed in solving the chapter related question.

Pre form 3
Hello guys, I believe some teacher taught you all thus rule before, which is "ZFUC"
the belows shows the key points needed in solving this chapter related questions.

Monday, 19 November 2012

12th November till 18th November 2012's syllabus.

Form l-Fraction
Proper fraction, Improper fraction, mixed Number and some Basic characteristic of a fraction.

Form 2-still under the same "Right Angle Triangle" Rule
The main objective of learning this Combination of square, square root and a^2 + b^2 = C^2is to make sure, you Pre-Form 2 guys be able to do question related to simply "mOving here and there" rule you will know what I mean if you are in my class.

Example:
when your teacher ask you
X+12=23 ,solve x.
you will probably ask, huh?? what is x=?
but if you interpret the × as a "BOX".
it becomes primary's question.
(_)+12=23
see??
Easy right?

We know the answer equals to 4.
but secondary weneed workings
Therefore your answer becomes,

x+12=23
x=23-12
×=11 (Can you see +12 is already brought over to the other side and becomes -12?
This are basic "moving here and there" rule.
More advanced version we will learn in chapter 4.)

Form 3-Circle 1st Rule "Common Sense (Chord)"

The whole class he had been doing
Form 2's hardest but Form 3 easiest question, Where it involves "Chord" & "center points".

DON'T FORGET!!!
"when you see center point and chord, please connect center point to chord to form P.T.!!

step of solving,
l. Connect center point to chord. (make sure you get a Right angle Triangle
2.

Solve the Right Angle Triangle (Using P.T.) 3. Answer. Form 5-Transformation. DON'T FORGET Your "Key-Points" for the 4 Diff Type of Transformation. *you can refer back to the previous post as recap. Form 4 Revision Circles lll same as form 3's photo It's just the we have additional rules involving tangent. I will post this, as a reference to you guys. Liang J.
